Go to 'New Job' from the sidebar. Enter the vehicle registration (UK/IE/ES lookup available), select or create a customer, add a description, then save. You can add costs, notes, photos, and payments from the job details page.

How do I send an invoice to a customer?

Open any job and click 'View Invoice'. From the invoice page, click 'Send' to share via email or SMS. Customers receive a secure link to view and download the invoice as a PDF. No login required for them.

How does the vehicle lookup work?

Enter a registration number when creating a job. Mekavo uses VDG (Vehicle Data Global) to fetch make, model, colour, fuel type, engine size, tyre specs, and battery details. Supports UK, Ireland, and Spain.

Take a photo of any car part and Mekavo's AI (powered by Claude) identifies it, estimates pricing for 7 cost types (OEM, aftermarket, budget, remanufactured, salvage, dealer, and performance), and suggests labour time. Add identified parts directly to your job as costs.

How do MOT reminders work?

Mekavo tracks MOT expiry dates from vehicle lookups. The MOT page shows vehicles grouped by expiry status (expired, this month, next month, 2-3 months). You can send SMS reminders to customers individually or in bulk. Customise reminder templates in Settings.
