When it came time to sell the car privately on Kijiji, AutoTrader.ca or Facebook Marketplace, the only proof of how well it had been looked after was a verbal promise to the buyer. Years of careful ownership, lost in a drawer.
The big car platforms don't help. They treat drivers as leads to sell to — insurance, finance, marketplace listings, aftermarket warranties. Every email has an offer attached. The data belongs to the platform, not the driver. We thought that was wrong.

Everything you put into My Mekavo — vehicles, documents, history, photos — is yours. Export the lot as JSON and files any time. Delete your account and we remove your personal data within 90 days. The only promise we make about your data is to you.
