Everything your fleet needs

Trip Inspections

NSC-aligned templates for trucks, trailers, buses, and vans. Photo evidence on every item. Meets federal and provincial trip inspection requirements.

Defect Reporting

Drivers report defects from their phone. Major and minor defect classification per NSC Standard 13. Full audit trail.

Provincial Compliance Tracking

Operating in Ontario, Quebec, and Alberta? Different provinces, different rules — one dashboard tracks CVIP dates, inspection status, and defect resolution across all of them.

Driver & Dispatch Management

Add owner-operators and company drivers. Assign units, manage permissions. Whether your fleet runs the Trans-Canada or local P&D, everyone stays in the loop.

Unit Profiles

Every truck, trailer, and van gets a full profile: CVIP dates, safety certificates, PM schedules, and service history. No more filing cabinets.

Maintenance & Repair Logs

Canadian winters destroy trucks. Keep every PM, repair, and tire change documented with dates, costs, and photos. Your MTO auditor will thank you.

Built for the regulators Canadian carriers actually deal with

A CVSE inspector at the scale, a Transport Canada CVOR audit, an SAAQ commercial vehicle review — they all want the same thing: a record of pre-trip inspections, repairs and driver hours that nobody could have rewritten yesterday. Mekavo seals each entry as it happens.

NSC
National Safety Code

The Canadian framework that aligns commercial-vehicle safety rules across provinces. Standard 13 (daily trip inspection) and Standard 11 (driver hours of service) are the ones drivers and managers feel daily.

CCMTA
Canadian Council of Motor Transport Administrators

Where the provinces, territories and Transport Canada agree on the rules — including the National Safety Code standards your carrier profile is measured against.

MTO / SAAQ / CVSE
Provincial Transport Authorities

Ontario MTO, Quebec SAAQ, BC CVSE, Alberta TS — each runs CVIP/MVI inspections, manages your CVOR / Carrier Profile, and conducts roadside / facility audits.

TC
Transport Canada

Federal vehicle safety standards, ELD mandate (technical standard), and oversight of inter-provincial carriers.

WCB
Workers' Compensation Board (provincial)

Vehicle-related workplace injuries, return-to-work, employer experience-rating. Your maintenance records can decide whether a claim becomes an employer-fault assessment.

NSC Standard 13 — Daily Trip Inspection

Drivers of commercial vehicles must inspect before every shift, sign the report, and the carrier must keep it for 6 months. Mekavo seals the inspection (photos, geolocation, mileage, driver identity) at the moment of submission so the record produced for an audit or a claim is provably contemporaneous.

CVOR / CARRIER PROFILE DOWNGRADE

A pattern of trip-inspection violations or maintenance defects pushes your CVOR rating from Satisfactory to Conditional or Unsatisfactory. Insurance premiums spike, shippers walk, and an MTO facility audit becomes likely. Bell Canada, FedEx Ground and most large shippers cancel agreements at Conditional.

In commercial-vehicle litigation in Ontario and BC, the plaintiff's expert routinely demands Schedule 1 / Schedule 4 trip inspection logs to challenge maintenance regime. Paper books filed after the fact don't survive cross. A SHA-256-sealed Schedule 1 with EXIF-bound photos does — and re-verification is independent of the carrier.
