How a lesson gets recorded

You do the thing you already do — teach out loud. Mekavo does the rest.

Drive and talk normally

Start the recording, put the phone down and teach. It keeps recording with the screen locked, and it keeps working where the signal does not — nothing is lost if you drive out of coverage.

Mark moments without looking

Volume-up marks something good. Volume-down marks something to work on. Your hands stay on the wheel and your eyes stay on the road — and we pin the mark a few seconds earlier, because you press it after the thing happens.

We split what you said into moments

Every sentence you spoke is matched to the exact point on the road where you said it. You get your lesson back as a map of spoken moments, not one long recording nobody will listen to.

Tidy it before you send it

What you said, point by point. Fix the words, mute a cue you would rather not send, or delete it. There is an AI suggestion if you want one — you always edit and approve it.

Some things it notices on its own

Hard braking, hard acceleration, a sharp corner, a pothole, an impact. Mekavo pins them; you decide what they meant. A hard brake can be a mistake or the correct thing to do — only the instructor in the car knows which.

It also asks whether the phone was mounted or in your hand, because that changes what the sensors can honestly tell us.

Then your pupil drives it again

They open the lesson and press start. As they reach each spot, your recorded voice plays — the thing you actually said, where you said it. The route wipes behind them as they pass it.

Triggered by place, not by time — it works whether they drive faster or slower than you did.

Off the route, nothing fires. It simply waits.

Your pupils, without the admin

A pupil scans your code once — or types it at mekavo.com/join — and they are paired. Assign a lesson to them and it lands in their account. Each pupil keeps their own history.

If a pupil leaves, their past lessons stay theirs. We do not hold their learning hostage.

Teach in one language, be understood in another

A lesson can be re-voiced in another language, in a clear studio voice, so a pupil who is still learning English hears the same teaching in their own language. Record once, teach anyone.

This is the one optional extra that uses AI credit. Everything else on this page is free.

The only thing that costs anything is the optional studio re-voice, which spends a little AI credit. You will always see the estimate before you spend it.

What this is, and what it is not

It is a recorded human lesson, replayed where it was recorded. It is not a sat-nav and it never tells anyone which way to turn.

These are practice routes recorded by real instructors. They are not official test routes — the driving test authority in United Arab Emirates does not publish those, and anyone who tells you otherwise is guessing.

A learner must always be supervised exactly as the law in United Arab Emirates requires. Mekavo is a teaching aid, not a substitute for a qualified instructor.

Questions instructors ask

Yes. There is no subscription and no per-pupil fee for instructors or learners in United Arab Emirates. The only optional cost is re-voicing a lesson into another language in a studio voice, which uses a small amount of AI credit and always shows you the estimate first.

Yes. The lesson is recorded on the phone itself and uploaded afterwards, so a route through the countryside with no coverage records normally. Nothing is lost while you are out of signal.

No. You start the recording, then teach. Marking a moment is the volume buttons — up for something good, down for something to work on — so your hands stay on the wheel. You tidy the lesson afterwards, parked.

No, and nobody honestly has them — the driving test authority in United Arab Emirates does not publish its test routes. These are practice routes recorded by real instructors on real roads, which is a different and more useful thing: your pupil hears your teaching, not a generic voice.

They keep them. Their past lessons stay in their own account, and you keep your recordings. Ending a pairing does not delete anyone's history.
