In Iraq, short stays follow the seasons and the pilgrimages: summer visitors in Erbil, Duhok and Sulaymaniyah, business travellers in Baghdad and Basra, and pilgrims filling furnished flats in Karbala and Najaf at Arbaeen. In the Kurdistan Region, tourism businesses are licensed by the Kurdistan Board of Tourism; elsewhere, ask the Tourism Board and your local authority what your furnished flat or guesthouse needs. Mekavo Stay gives you your own booking page in Arabic, English and your guests' languages, and a calendar that never books a night twice.
Mekavo is software, not a regulator. In the Kurdistan Region, licensing is the Kurdistan Board of Tourism's; in federal Iraq, ask the Tourism Board and your local authority. Guests pay you directly, and Mekavo takes no commission.
