What Mekavo Parking is
Mekavo Parking is a self-service software product for anyone who controls a piece of land where cars can park — a driveway, a small private car park, a church car park, a community hall, a small business forecourt. You set your own price, the driver scans a QR sign and pays online with their card, and the money lands in your bank account directly. We never hold it.
We charge a flat 5% software fee — deducted from your payout, not added to the driver. Standard card-processing fees (~1.5% + a small per-transaction amount, depending on country) come out of our 5%, not yours. There's no monthly subscription, no setup cost, no equipment to buy.
What Mekavo Parking is not
We are not a parking enforcement company. We do not employ wardens. We do not issue parking charge notices. We do not chase drivers to court. If a driver parks at your site without paying, that's a private matter between you and them under the trespass and contract law of Australia — exactly as it would be without us in the picture.
We are software and a payment rail. The legal agreement to park is between the driver and you, the landowner. Our role is to make that agreement easy to enter into and easy to honour.
Who built this
Mekavo Parking was built by the founder of MEKAVO LTD, a UK limited company based in Leicester. Mekavo's main product is workshop-management software used by independent garages across Australia and elsewhere. We built Parking because the same principle applies: small operators get squeezed by predatory middle-tiers, and there's a place for software that just gets out of the way.
You'll find the founder reads every email that comes through personally. There is no sales team. There is no support outsourced overseas. If your space goes live and something doesn't work, you'll hear back from someone who can actually fix it.
Why we built it this way
The dominant model in commercial parking software is the same one shopping-mall operators have been running for forty years: deploy cameras, automate enforcement, levy charges that exceed the parking fee by an order of magnitude, and let a debt-collection arm chase non-payers. It's profitable. It's also why most landowners — especially churches, small businesses, and homeowners — feel queasy about charging for parking even when they should.
We took the opposite stance: charge a fair, transparent price; let drivers pay easily; settle the money instantly to the landowner; and stay out of the enforcement business entirely. In every market we operate in, this turns out to be the model that lets a one-driveway landlord and a 200-space church car park use the same software comfortably.
Where we operate
Mekavo Parking is now live in the UK and accepting landowner sign-ups in Australia. Sign-ups in your country are routed through our regulated payment processor, which handles the local KYC, tax, and bank transfers in AU — we don't touch them.
