Parking refunds
How refunds work when you've paid for parking through Mekavo.
Last updated: 12 May 2026
Mekavo provides the payment software for parking sites — we are not the parking operator. When you pay for parking, your payment goes directly to the business that runs the car park (the operator), and that operator handles refunds, not Mekavo.
If you need a refund for a parking session
- Use the contact form on the parking site's payment page (the page you scanned the QR code to reach, or at mekavo.com/p/<site>) — it goes straight to the operator. Tell them what happened and include the date, your vehicle registration and the amount.
- Or contact the operator directly using the phone number or email shown on that page.
- If you can't find the site again, go to mekavo.com/v and enter the 5-character site code from the sign; that takes you back to the site's page and the contact form.
When a refund is usually due
- You were charged but could not park (the car park was full, blocked, or didn't exist).
- You were charged the wrong amount.
- Anything else the operator's own refund policy or your local law requires.
The operator decides and issues the refund — Mekavo can't refund a parking session on the operator's behalf. If an operator won't respond or won't honour a refund you're clearly due, you can report the site to Mekavo and we'll look into it. (This page is about parking sessions only. If you're a business with a Mekavo subscription, our subscription refund terms are in our Terms of Use.)
