Why this product exists
The dominant model in commercial UK parking software is the same one mall operators have been running since the 1980s: install ANPR cameras, automate the issuing of parking charge notices, set the charge at ten times the parking fee, and let a debt-collection arm chase non-payers through the small-claims court. It's profitable. It's also why most landowners — especially churches, small businesses, and homeowners — feel uneasy about charging for parking even when they should.
Mekavo Parking takes the opposite stance. Charge a fair, transparent price. Let drivers pay easily online with their card. Settle the money instantly to the landowner's bank account. And stay out of the enforcement business entirely. If someone parks at your site without paying, that's a private matter between you and them under standard UK trespass and contract law — exactly as it would be without us in the picture.
The 95% promise
You set your price. The driver pays exactly that — no inflated "service fee", no surcharge for using a card. We take a flat 5% software fee out of your payout. Standard card-processing fees (~1.5% + 20p per transaction) come out of our 5%, not yours. There is no monthly subscription, no setup cost, no equipment to buy, and no signage we'll bill you for. Print the QR sign yourself, post it at the entrance, and you can be earning tonight.
What we are not
We are not a parking-enforcement company. We do not employ wardens. We do not issue parking charge notices on your behalf. We do not chase drivers to court. We are software and an online-payment rail, full stop. The legal agreement to park is between the driver and you, the landowner — and the warranties about your right to control the land sit with you, not us. The Operator Terms spell this out precisely.
We're not VC-funded. There is no growth team optimising for short-term metrics at the expense of long-term trust. The company is self-owned, profitable on its other product (workshop software), and has no external pressure to make any particular fee structure go up over time.
Who built this
MEKAVO LTD is a UK limited company registered in England & Wales (no. 16477044), based at 76 Letchworth Rd, Leicester LE3 6FH. The company was founded by Mehrdad Madadi, a UK-based software engineer of British-Iranian background who has been building backend systems and SaaS products for over fifteen years.
Mekavo's main product is workshop-management software used by independent garages and MOT centres across the UK and several other countries. Parking is the second product line, built on the same principle: small operators get squeezed by predatory middle-tiers, and there's a place for software that simply makes their life easier without taking a disproportionate cut.
Where we operate
Mekavo Parking is now live in the UK and accepting landowner sign-ups in seven English-speaking markets — the UK, US, Australia, Ireland, Canada, New Zealand, and Singapore. Sign-ups are routed through our regulated payment processor, which handles the local KYC, tax, and bank transfers in your country. We don't touch them.
