Defect Reporting

Driver spots an AC issue in 45°C heat? One tap, one photo, fleet manager alerted. Track defects from report to resolution.

Built for the regulators Jordanian fleet operators actually deal with

A Public Security Directorate traffic checkpoint, a Fahs failure at a JIDC-authorised centre, an MoL workplace investigation after an incident with a company vehicle — they all want the same thing: contemporaneous, tamper-evident proof of pre-trip inspection and driver assignment. Mekavo seals each record at the moment of capture.

CDD/PSD
Central Driving and Vehicle Licensing Department (Public Security Directorate)

Vehicle registration (Tarkhees), driver licensing, traffic enforcement under Traffic Law No. 49/2008, and the periodic vehicle inspection scheme via authorised Fahs centres.

LTRC
Land Transport Regulatory Commission

Sets the regulatory frame for commercial road transport, freight permits, taxi/bus licensing under Public Transport Law No. 89/2003, and oversight of operator standards.

MoL
Ministry of Labour

Workplace safety enforcement under Labour Law No. 8/1996 and OSH regulations — including vehicle operations and personal employer liability after workplace vehicle incidents.

JISM
Jordan Institution for Standards and Metrology

Technical standards for commercial vehicles, periodic inspection criteria, emissions thresholds, and the technical regulations Fahs centres apply.

ISTD
Income and Sales Tax Department

GST/VAT on fleet operations, audit of input tax on vehicles and parts, and the fleet records that form part of the ISTD audit file.

Daily pre-trip inspection + Fahs periodic test (Traffic Law 49/2008 + Labour Law 8/1996)

Operators must ensure roadworthy condition daily; Fahs covers formal periodic aptitude. Mekavo seals each pre-trip with photos, geolocation, mileage and driver identity at submission. The seal is independently verifiable — PSD, MoL or court-appointed experts can re-verify without trusting the operator.

TARKHEES REVOCATION / OPERATOR PERMIT SUSPENSION

Roadside detection of expired Tarkhees, lapsed Fahs or critical mechanical defect leads to immediate impound at the nearest PSD yard. LTRC can suspend operator permits after repeated infractions. MoL investigations after a workplace vehicle incident can result in personal liability for company officers under the labour law.

In MoL investigations and post-incident civil claims at the Jordan courts, the standard demand is the pre-trip inspection log paired with maintenance records. A logbook filled in after the fact does not satisfy the test. A SHA-256-sealed entry with EXIF-bound photos and OTP-verified driver identity does — and re-verification is independent of the operator.
