Everything your fleet needs

Road Worthiness Checks

Pre-inspection templates so your vehicles pass FRSC road worthiness checks first time. Check every point before heading to the testing centre. Photo evidence included.

Defect Reporting

Driver spots an issue in Lagos traffic? One tap, one photo, fleet manager alerted. Track defects from report to resolution.

Nigeria Fleet Dashboard

Vehicles across Lagos, Abuja, Kano, and Port Harcourt — one dashboard tracks road worthiness dates, vehicle licence renewals, and insurance across the country.

Driver Management

Manage drivers across Nigeria. Track licence validity, vehicle assignments. Works for danfo operators, logistics fleets, corporate pools, and okada cooperatives.

Vehicle Profiles

Sedans, delivery vans, danfo buses, heavy trucks — each vehicle profiled with road worthiness expiry, licence dates, insurance, fuel costs, and complete service history.

Service Records

Lagos traffic destroys clutches and brakes. Northern Nigeria heat kills batteries and AC systems. Document every service with dates, costs, and workshop details. Essential for fleet resale value.

Built for the regulators Nigerian fleet operators actually deal with

An FRSC roadworthiness checkpoint, a VIO inspection failure, an NSITF investigation after a workplace incident with a company vehicle — they all want the same thing: contemporaneous, tamper-evident proof of pre-trip inspection and driver assignment. Mekavo seals each record at the moment of capture.

FRSC
Federal Road Safety Corps

Roadworthiness enforcement under the FRSC (Establishment) Act 2007, the National Road Traffic Regulations 2012, the Driver's Licence regime, and roadside inspection of commercial vehicles.

VIO
Vehicle Inspection Office (state-level)

Periodic vehicle inspection, roadworthiness certification, registration verification, and prosecution of unfit commercial vehicles under state road traffic laws.

NIMASA/NSC
NIMASA + Nigerian Shippers' Council

Container haulage standards, port-bound truck movement permits at Apapa/Tin Can, and the Eastern/Western ports access regime that affects haulage compliance.

NSITF
Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund

Workplace incident compensation under the Employees' Compensation Act 2010 — including vehicle-related workplace incidents and personal employer liability.

FIRS
Federal Inland Revenue Service

VAT on fleet operations, e-invoicing rollout, audit of operating expense and capital allowances on commercial vehicles, and the fleet records that form part of the FIRS audit file.

Daily pre-trip inspection + FRSC/VIO roadworthiness (NRTR 2012 + ECA 2010)

Operators must ensure roadworthy condition daily; FRSC and the state VIO cover formal periodic aptitude. Mekavo seals each pre-trip with photos, geolocation, mileage and driver identity at submission. The seal is independently verifiable — FRSC, NSITF or court-appointed experts can re-verify without trusting the operator.

IMPOUND + COMMERCIAL OPERATING LICENCE SUSPENSION

Roadside detection of expired roadworthiness, lapsed Vehicle Licence or critical mechanical defect leads to immediate impound by FRSC or VIO. State authorities can suspend commercial operating permits after repeated violations. NSITF investigations after a workplace vehicle incident can result in personal liability for company officers under the Employees' Compensation Act.

In NSITF investigations and post-incident civil claims at the Nigerian courts, the standard demand is the pre-trip inspection log paired with maintenance records. A logbook filled in after the fact does not satisfy the test. A SHA-256-sealed entry with EXIF-bound photos and OTP-verified driver identity does — and re-verification is independent of the operator.
