The first fleet AI that refuses to recommend dangerous shortcuts.

When your driver finishes 12 minutes ahead of schedule, every other system says "pack 2-3 more stops on his route." Ours doesn't — not when the variance is from speeding, not when fatigue alerts are firing, not when he hasn't had a break. Mekavo runs on the phone every driver already carries, logs evidence at industrial precision, and seals every record at the moment of the act — so when an auditor, insurer, or court asks the question, the answer is forensic.

Mekavo AI is explicitly forbidden from telling you to pressure your driver.

Most fleet AI products will recommend densifying your routes when a driver finishes early — even when the underlying reason is speeding. Some platforms sell that recommendation as their headline feature.

Mekavo's risk-aware AI is hard-coded to refuse it. When telemetry shows a speeding pattern, a fatigue alert, or aggressive driving, our system is structurally prevented from recommending more stops, route densification, or shift extensions — regardless of what the variance numbers superficially support.

What our AI will recommend instead:

  • Coaching, when a speeding pattern emerges.
  • Mandatory rest, when fatigue alerts fire.
  • Re-timing the plan at the planning stage, when stops consistently finish too early.
  • Recognising the driver, when a week is clean.

It will never pressure the driver, even when the manager wants it to. That's the positioning. We sell to operators who want a serious safety platform — not a way to extract more shifts.

What other fleet AI says What Mekavo's AI says
"Driver is 12 min ahead of schedule — consider adding 2-3 more stops." "Driver is 12 min ahead BUT had 4 speeding events this week. Do not add stops — coach him. Insurance review recommended."
Optimises for stops-per-shift. Optimises for safe completion and evidence integrity.
Pressures the driver to absorb the slack. Investigates whether the plan is the problem.

Built for the regulators US carriers actually deal with

When the DOT auditor walks in or an officer pulls a truck at the scale, the question is the same: can you produce contemporaneous, tamper-evident evidence of pre-trip inspections, repairs and driver qualifications? Mekavo seals each record at the moment of the act so the answer is yes, every time.

FMCSA
Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration

Sets the rules every interstate carrier lives by — driver qualification, hours of service, vehicle inspection (49 CFR Part 396), and the CSA scoring that rates your fleet against your peers.

DOT
US Department of Transportation

Issues your USDOT number, runs the audit programs, and operates the roadside inspection regime that puts trucks out of service for maintenance defects.

CVSA
Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance

Defines the North American Standard Inspection — the criteria that decide whether a roadside inspection ends with a clean report or an out-of-service order.

OSHA
Occupational Safety and Health Administration

Vehicle-related workplace safety: powered industrial trucks (29 CFR 1910.178), fall protection on flatbeds, lockout-tagout for maintenance.

EPA
Environmental Protection Agency

Heavy-duty vehicle emissions standards, idle-reduction rules, and DEF/exhaust treatment compliance — relevant to your maintenance records when an audit checks tampering.

DVIR — Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (49 CFR § 396.11 + § 396.13)

Every CMV driver must complete a written inspection at the end of each driving day, and review the prior day's DVIR before the next pre-trip. Mekavo seals the photo, geolocation, mileage and driver identity at the moment of submission. The seal is independently verifiable — your insurer, your shipper's safety auditor, or a court-appointed expert can re-verify without trusting Mekavo.

ROADSIDE OUT-OF-SERVICE ORDER

A Level 1 inspection turns up a brake defect with no documented pre-trip check. The truck doesn't move until repaired and re-inspected. Driver may also be placed out-of-service. Your CSA Vehicle Maintenance BASIC score takes a hit — every shipper that runs SaferWatch sees it.

In commercial-vehicle litigation, the plaintiff's expert routinely subpoenas DVIRs to challenge maintenance regime. A spreadsheet log generated post-incident does not survive cross-examination. A SHA-256-sealed DVIR with EXIF-bound photos and OTP-verified driver identity does — and re-verification doesn't require trusting the carrier.
